The Life of Count Vlad, Dracul Myth and Legends.
Count Vlad is so steeped in myth and legend that it is most difficult to sort the truth out from the myth and legend.

Count Vlad was ruler in the province of Transylvania in what is modern day Romania.

He was called Dracul (Dracula) which meant Dragon in latin. Vlad is also called Tepes.
Is this where the legend of Dracula the Vampire began?

This was believed to be a military order with the Dragon as its symbol of power. This order was not unlike the legend of king Arthur's knights of the round table. Some say that the Dragon was the symbol of power adopted by Vlad, and others say that he was using this as a name to be vanquished in Christendom...?

A little known fact is that Count Vlad (short for Vladimier?) was a member of the Easter Orthodox Christian Church.

Huh...? Count Vlad was a Christian...? Yes!!!

Many stories surround Vlad III Dracul amoung them are the following:

Dracula was known for his fierce insistance on honesty and order. Thieves did not dare practice their trade within Draculs domain. Dracul was so confident in the effectiveness of his law that he placed a golden cup on display in the center square of his city. The cup was never stolen and remained unmolested during his reign.

Two Turkish (Moslems) ambassadors paid a visit to Dracula. When ushered into the presence of the prince, the Turks refused to remove their hats. When questioned they answered that it was not the custom of their fathers to remove their caps. Count Vlad (Dracula) then ordered their hats nailed to their heads so that they might never have to break such an excellent tradition.

A Portrait of Count Vlad
Count Vlad is shrouded in much mystery and legend.
It is difficult to seperate the truth from the fiction...
  Count Vlad Dracul or Dracula.....?
HISTORY:

The Western church of (Latin) Rome and the Eastern (Greek) Church of Constanople had different geographical headquarters.

Constanople was in what is modern day turkey. In 1453 the moslems or muslims surrounded the Christian city and killed almost all the inhabitants. The victorious moslems slaughtered the men and women and children, and renamed the city Istanbul. Istanbul means the city. Think about Osama Bin Laden and the terrorists.

The Serasims, or the muslims we advancing against white Christian Europe. Count Vlad was protecting his terroritory against the moslem hordes and he was vastly outnumbered.

In 1456 Count Vlad Dracul takes control of his empire.
3 years after the moslems kill all the Christians in Constanople Count Vlad comes to power in what is Transylvania.

Count Vlad is terribly outnumbered against the Moslem hordes and resorts to guerilla tactics. He performs ambushes and uses the terrain to hide and attack at the right time. He was considered a military genius for his time and area.

Vlad is trying to stop the muslim terrorists from taking and killing his people, like they did to Christian Constanople.

Wooden Stakes and Vlad the Impaler
Count Vlad used Psychological warfare against the moslem terrorists. He took the captives and impaled them on a wooden stake or pole.

In other words, he drove a wood pole through their body and left the muslim on the side of the road on the way to his country for the moslems to see what awaited them, if they were captured.

THE IMPALLED MOSLEMS on the road to Vlads country were the ultimate YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE SIGN.

This must have demoralized the moslem invaders.

Count Vlad Dracul (Tepes) was an Eastern Orthodox Christian and he knew what the Bible said about hanging the accursed on a tree (wooden stake) and used this to his advantage.

Deu 21:22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: ( a stake was a tree)

Maybe this is where we got the death by hanging penalty?

Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:

The Christians even believed that this was why Jesus was hung on a wooden cross to be made a curse for us for sin.

is this where the wooden stake in the heart to kill the vampire legend came from...?

So how did Dracula become a legend of the prince of darkness, a Vampire...?
There is not a good answer for this really to my satisfaction.

So where does Buffy the Vampire killer fit in...?
I would put little stock on TV if I were you, as you will find little truth there.

where does the spirits go after we die ...?
is there a great castle in the sky ...?

More on this below:

THE LEGEND OF THE DARK ONES, THE VAMPIRES...
Legend has it that Judas Iscariot was the very first vampire. Judas was the one that betrayed Jesus in the garden.

So are Vampires really a corruption of what the Blood of Jesus was to do and make the Christians immortal?

was the wooden stake throught the heart of the vampire really a corruption of the curse in the Bible to hang them on a tree?

What did Bats or Vampire bats have to do with the legend of the vampyre...?

the cross was to have power over the vampire. the legendary battle between light and darknesss of good and evil.

Is this where the occult gets the idea of the legend of the vampyre...?

The temple of set or sat has much information along this line and I think it is a corruption of the truth.

There is even a temple of the Vampire and I doubt they will tell you this truth.

Please do not think that I support bombing of civilians, as I do not!

If moslems come to the USA looking for a fight...well they may find one.

Count Vlad aka Dracula had a castle that he lived in. It was the castle of his family, located in Transylvania. The spirit that Count Vlad Dracul, had against the Moslem invaders was amazing.

Some facts about the Bram Stoker, the author of the book Dracula:

Bram (Abraham) Stoker was born November 8, 1847 in Dublin, Ireland. Stoker was a sickly child and spent a lot of time in bed.

Growing up his mother told him a lot of horror stories. Stoker studied Math at Trinity College Dublin and he graduated in 1867. After graduation he became a civil servant. He also worked as a free lance journalist.

Although best known for Dracula, Stoker wrote eighteen books before he died in 1912. Stoker died at the age of 64 of exhaustion.

The spirit or spirits of Count Vlad seems to live on today in myth and legend. His opposition to the Moslem hordes was as great as any stone castle could surmount.

So why does the legend of the vampire with an old spooky castle, haunted with spirits come from...?

More to come later...
